- Philadelphia Workforce Development Corporation (PWDC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the region’s economy by supporting workforce development initiatives with funding and technical assistance. Visit their website»
- Collegiate Consortium for Workforce & Economic Development (CCWED) is a partnership of Drexel University and five area community colleges (Community College of Philadelphia, Delaware County Community College, Bucks County Community College, Camden County College and Montgomery County Community College), that provides a comprehensive, coordinated approach to developing a highly skilled workforce for the region. Staff Development/Supervisory Training
PWDC has partnerships with local and national professional development associations to deliver training for supervisors at no cost to the employer. An excellent program is tailored to each employer's assessment of supervisory needs. The training is geared to improving employee retention through skilled management practices.
Literacy, Language and Computer Skills in the Workplace
Through partnerships with local organizations, employees can receive workforce literacy services such as English as a Second Language (ESL), basic reading, math, or computer skills to enhance the skill level and efficiency of the company's workforce.
Labor Market Information
PWDC directs employers to the information they need about regional labor statistics and promotes understanding of how labor market trends affect their strategic planning and bottom line.
